Hi! My names Emily Vajs and I am a Future Woman in Sports Journalism. I am the creator of this website which showcases my passion for sports journalism and my goal, as a woman, in a male dominant industry. My goal is to ultimately shed light on woman in sports and bring the attention it deserves.

 

Growing up I have always loved reading and writing stories and it has carried with me throughout the rest of my life. This passion has led me to the field of journalism where I am able to communicate through writing and then vocalise it to the world. I believe that words hold power and I aim to use that to change issues in society and make a difference.

 

Throughout my childhood I was also surrounded by sports as my family was an avid AFL lover. Since a young age I was doing multiple team sports, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Currently, I work for the Fremantle Dockers Football Club which has immersed me into the sports field of work.

 

With this passion for sports and writing, I am dedicated to use the power of words to advocate and make a difference. As I am only young, I’m always looking for new challenges that will mould me into the future woman in sports journalism.
